Due to insistent public demand, Star Records has launched the highly anticipated first-ever album of primetime TV’s ‘Next Ultimate Leading Man’ and this generation’s ‘Dougie King’ Enrique Gil. Enrique’s debut album under Star Records is titled ‘King of the GIL,’ which according to the singer-actor, was a result of his habit of tirelessly trying out something new. “After dancing and acting, a lot of people encouraged me to try singing. And then I was formally offered to do an album. STAGES has assembled five young, good looking and talented guys to form the talent management group’s boy band 5Az1. Their debut single, a remake of an Angela Boffil classic This Time I’ll Be Sweeter will be released in a few days. 5Az1, composed of Bryann, Rex, Jai, Mik, and Yang, was introduced in the TV5 singing competition Kanta Pilipinas, where they were a finalist. Since then, they have worked with some of the country’s finest musicians – most notable of which was their stint at the 2013 PhilPop Music Festival. The boys’ recording of This Time I’ll Be Sweeter was supervised by The Company’s Moy Ortiz. Their rendition gives the Angela Boffil classic a certain updated feel, and a male point of view given to it. 5AZ1’s This Time I’ll Be Sweeter, produced by STAGES Music and distributed by Universal Records, will be available for downloads soon. Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition winner James Reid has released the music video of his latest single called “Alam N’ya Ba?” Check it out! “Alam N’ya Ba?” is the carrier single of James Reid’s self-titled debut album from Viva Records. Directed by Emmanuel Bernardino, the video was shot in and around Roxas Boulevard and Luneta Park in Manila. James Reid’s female lead in the video is former Pop Girls member Nadine Lustre. Filipino-Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias has released the music video for his new single “Turn The Night Up.” In an interview by Ryan Seacrest, Enrique shared how the song was written: “You know how it started? I always walk around my house and am always joking around and there’s a phrase in the song that says ‘Gimme some of that.’ And I’m always saying that, saying ‘Gimme some of that’ and … doing a stupid little dance. [And] my girlfriend always starts laughing, so I went to the studio and said we’ve got to write the song around this!” Watch the music video here:
